Summer in Guangdong is coming very fast, today the highest temperature in Foshan is about to reach 36 degrees. The weather is starting to get hot, and it’s time to put away winter clothes. Facing the clothes in the closet, I remembered Kudo Shinichi·Miaojiang’s wise saying-don’t buy clothes randomly! Especially for down jackets, many people said they don’t know how to store them. Today, the thoughtful editor of Rui Niu down jacket manufacturer has prepared a super practical guide for organizing and storing down jackets for you.

一.Be sure to wash and dry the down jacket before storage to avoid mildew due to stains.

1. When washing down products, first soak them in clean water for half an hour.

2. Gently rub a few times with your hands to allow it to absorb enough water to eliminate the dust sticking to the down.

3. Then pour out the water and put an appropriate amount of low-foaming neutral detergent. The amount of solution is based on the immersion of the down jacket. After half an hour, gently brush the down jacket with a soft brush, and then wash it with water.

4. In the washing process, fold down the down jacket and press it to dry the water. Do not twist it with your hands or rub it with a washboard, otherwise it will damage the down fibers and affect the warmth retention.

5. When airing, you can spread the down uniform on a flat board, cover it with a clean cloth after a little drying, and expose it to the sun, but the time should not be too long. After drying, pat the loose down with your hands, turn it over and dry it for a while. Let dry thoroughly.

二. After cleaning up, start storing

Down jackets should be stored in a dry and clean suitcase or closet. It is best to hang them in the closet or lay them flat in the suitcase to keep the clothes neat and tidy. Because down contains more protein and fat, it is a favorite food of pests. Therefore, anti-insect agents such as sanitary balls must be placed around during storage. The medicament should be placed in a small cloth bag to avoid direct contact with the fabric. If you have a vacuum compression bag, you can use the vacuum compression bag to store down jackets, which not only saves space, but also prevents moisture and moth.
